Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation welcomes Finkin as new director
The Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation welcomed Ezra Finkin Jan. 29 as the newly elected director to the Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation board of directors.
Finkin is the director for corporate affairs and development with Chevron Renewable Energy Group, a business unit of Chevron producing biodiesel and renewable diesel fuel.
Prior to his role at Chevron REG, Finkin served as the policy director for the Diesel Technology Forum (now the Engine Technology Forum), where he advocated for the sustainability of diesel engines when operating using biodiesel and renewable diesel fuels.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kenyon College and an master’s degree in international affairs from the School for Advanced International Studies.
“We are pleased to welcome our newest board member, Ezra Finkin,” said Mark Caspers, chair of the foundation. “As the director of corporate affairs and development at Chevon Renewable Energy Group, Ezra brings a wealth of experience working with policymakers and stakeholders that will help guide the foundation’s work demonstrating the sustainability benefits of diesel technology. We deeply thank Director Todd Ellis for his dedication to the foundation who, after two terms, is stepping down.”
In addition to Finkin, biodiesel industry leaders currently serving on the foundation’s board are:
Mark Caspers, chairman (Nebraska Soybean Board)
Dave Walton, vice chairman (Iowa Soybean Association)
Chris Hill, treasurer (American Soybean Association)
Colin Huwyler, secretary (Optimus Technologies)
Michael Dolch, director (AGP)
Rob Shaffer, director (ASA)
The foundation works closely with Clean Fuels Alliance America to address national issues such as cleaner air, greater economic development for rural communities and enhanced national security through energy independence.
Organized in 1994, the mission of the foundation is to accomplish outreach, education, research and demonstration activities for the advancement of biodiesel, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuels.
