Monterey Fuel extends Avfuel partnership
Monterey Fuel Co. and Avfuel Corp. have extended their partnership, solidifying Avfuel as the branded fuel-supply partner for Monterey Fuel’s two fixed-base operators (FBOs) at Monterey Regional Airport (KMRY)—Del Monte Aviation and Monterey Jet Center—for another decade.
This long-term extension underscores the strong, symbiotic relationship of the two organizations, the companies said, adding that Monterey Fuel Co. and Avfuel work together to sustainably fuel the needs of aviators in the Central Coast region with customer-centric services.
Matt Wright, vice president of the Monterey Fuel, added, “We are extremely pleased to enter another decade of partnership and sustainable aviation innovation with Avfuel. Our dedication to service and commitment to sustainability align perfectly with Avfuel’s values. This extension allows us to further our efforts in creating a greener environment for the future of aviation.”
David Mittleman, Avfuel’s senior sales manager, said, “The entire Avfuel team couldn’t be prouder to continue its alignment with the award-winning Monterey Fuel. By executing a long-term agreement, both organizations are signaling their dedication to long-term initiatives in sustainability and customer care, including furthering the adoption of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Monterey Fuel’s continued support of sustainable practices sets a commendable example for the industry and provides an ideal partner for Avfuel as we continuously work to enhance adoption of sustainable offerings.”
Monterey Fuel’s FBO, Monterey Jet Center, was the first Avfuel Network FBO to consistently provide SAF.
With SAF supply extended to Del Monte Aviation as well, Avfuel and Monterey Fuel continue to work together to find ways to increase SAF’s uptake in the Monterey Peninsula and beyond via direct purchases and book-and-claim inventory.
As part of the extended partnership, Monterey Fuel and Avfuel will explore opportunities to further enhance sustainability efforts, including supporting initiatives for hydrogen- and electric-powered aircraft.
Avfuel said both companies are committed to working together to make KMRY a more sustainable and environmentally friendly airport for the future.
“Our companies share a common goal of prioritizing customer satisfaction,” said Wright. “By partnering with Avfuel, we can provide our customers with a premier suite of programs—including Avfuel Contract Fuel, AVTRIP rewards and sustainable offerings—and the live support that comes with them. We are proud to be associated with Avfuel and look forward to continuing to leverage its resources to support our customers with exceptional service.”
