Wasser named deputy executive director of Missouri Soybean Association
The Missouri Soybean Association announced Feb. 3 that it has named Casey Wasser its new deputy executive director.
In this expanded leadership role, Wasser will continue championing Missouri’s soybean farmers, strengthening the association’s advocacy, policy and industry-engagement efforts.
Along with his role as deputy executive director, Wasser will maintain his position as chief operating officer of the Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, where he has been instrumental in driving strategic initiatives and building partnerships to benefit the state’s soybean industry.
“Casey’s leadership and dedication have been critical to our success, and this new role is a natural progression of his commitment to Missouri’s soybean producers,” said Gary Wheeler, CEO and executive director of Missouri Soybeans. “He has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our farmers, and his ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels will be invaluable as we continue advancing our mission.”
As an executive, Wasser will play a key role in representing MSA and its membership, serving as a primary voice for the organization in conversations with farmers, policymakers and industry leaders.
He will work closely with Ben Travlos, Missouri Soybeans’ director of policy, to ensure strong advocacy efforts in both Jefferson City and Washington, D.C.
Together, they will continue delivering on key policy priorities that impact Missouri’s soybean farmers.
Wasser sees this as an opportunity to bring greater awareness to the issues that matter most to producers and the broader public, fostering stronger connections between farmers, policymakers and consumers.
In addition to his work in policy and industry relations, Wasser will dedicate significant time to executing MSA’s newly revised strategic plan, ensuring the organization remains forward-thinking and positioned for long-term success.
His role will focus on engaging with farmers, industry leaders and partners to enhance the visibility and impact of Missouri Soybeans.
“I’m honored to take on this expanded leadership role and continue working alongside our board, staff and industry partners to advance the priorities of Missouri’s soybean farmers,” Wasser said. “The work we do is critical to the success of our producers, and I look forward to strengthening our impact and growing opportunities for agriculture in our state.”
Wasser’s appointment reinforces MSA’s commitment to leadership excellence and proactive industry engagement, the organization stated.
His experience and vision will be key to shaping the association’s future while continuing to elevate the voices of Missouri’s soybean farmers.
