World Energy receives SEAL award for its sustainable aviation fuel

World Energy, a producer of biodiesel, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), has won an award for its SAF produced in Paramount, California. The recognition came Dec. 21 from the Sustainability, Environmental Achievement & Leadership Awards, which announced the winners of the 2021 SEAL Business Sustainability Awards.

World Energy was one of several award recipients receiving the SEAL Sustainable Product Award, which “honors innovative and impactful products that are literally ‘purpose-built’ for a sustainable future.”

Matt Harney, founder of the SEAL Awards, said, “Increased corporate prioritization of ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) initiatives has been a welcome and needed change as our climate crisis further accelerates. This increased investment in sustainable business practices has raised the bar for ESG excellence, making this our most competitive award event ever with a record number of submissions. Our mission at SEAL is to rigorously assess and then celebrate extraordinary sustainability leadership.”

Entries are judged by a panel of 10 sustainability and ESG experts. The event featured four distinct sustainability award categories.
